FOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUURRRRR! point FiVE!

4.5 miles without stopping, walking, dying, (okay, almost died), puking (okay, almost felt like puking),

A new PR for sure.

Also, 60 minutes non-stop running is a first as well!

Also, 700 calories burned in one treadmill session, and in one HOUR! Both are firsts.

Okay, enough of my ranting that no one cares about but me. I must document so I don't go crazy trying to remember what actually happened, and so that I know why I went crazy. :)

Because I LOOOOOVE me some good lemon cake......

found it, stole it, gotta make it soon!

Best Lemon Sheet Cake ~ MOIST too, serve warm, or cold

Ingredients
1 duncan hines moist deluxe lemon cake mix
1 c buttermilk
1 3oz. lemon instant pudding mix (dry)

ICING~
4 cups confectioner's sugar
1/3 cups bottled lemon juice
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
3 Tbsp water

Directions
1
In large bowl, stir together dry cake mix and pudding mix. In another bowl, combine all wet ingredients and eggs that the cake mix calls for plus the buttermilk.(where your box reads the amount of water (1 1/3 cup usually), put in 1 cup water and 1/3 cup lemon juice to make the cake even more lemon tasting, if you like) Beat with mixer until blended. Add to dry mixture and beat until combined.
Bake in a greased 9x13 baking pan in a preheated 350 degree oven for the time the cake mix box calls
for...depending on your oven. It will require a couple minutes longer baking time than cake mix box calls for because of the extra moisture produced by the milk. Stick a toothpick in the center to check for doneness.

2
ICING: Combine water, oil, powdered sugar and lemon juice with a mixer until smooth. Add one more tablespoon of water if consistency isn't saucy. "Glaze" the cake when just a little cooled. Do not over glaze it because the icing is sweet. Just a THIN layer is required

"Firsts" for today:

today's "rundown" haha:

ran 5k in less than 40 minutes

burned 500 calories in 43 minutes

burned 102 carbs in 52 minutes.

: )

I amaze myself sometimes!

We were given a bag of clothes from a cousin,
and found a super cute skirt in the bag, and it fit Kinzie perfectly.

Only one problem: the zipper was broken.

and it was an "INVISIBLE" zipper!

and
I have never put in an "invisible" zipper before.  . . . . .
and
it was lined.
I have never put in this kind of lining before.

Okay, so that was 4 problems. . . .

Dang it, well,
I guess I will have to try to fix it somehow.
 It's too cute
of a skirt to not to.

I could have taken shortcuts and made it easier on myself,
but I was experimenting with my patience.
I wanted to know if I could actually do it the way the skirt maker did it.

The hardest part of the process was getting my butt to the store and finding a zipper to replace it with. I don't usually go to craft stores or fabric stores, so it was a bit out of my way.

and I was able to fix it back the way it was. : )

Except . . . that it is a SIDE ZIPPER. . . . . .

hahaha

oops

Tired legs almost got the best of me.

I had to get Kort off to gymnastics class this morning, so I was in a hurry.

You know what that means.  . . . .

I ran the whole 48 minutes.

I lifted weights with squats yesterday, so my legs were dying/oober tired from the very first step.

Funny side note: one time I did squats with weights, then later went and reffed some YW basketball games. I guess I wouldn't quite lift my feet high enough to clear the floor a couple of times, cause I would stumble. When I would stumble, my legs were too tired from the workout to catch me, so I still have scars on my knee from BOTH times I fell that day.

If I do too many squats, it makes it hard for me to go through the act of sitting down. Not a huge problem until you remember how many times you pee in one day. . . . .

So, my legs were tired today. I decided that I would just run a mile, then change the laundry. But a good song came on, so I kept rewinding it and kept going.

Then, I was dying, trying to make it to two miles, so I could go change the laundry. But, I decided to go another "lap". Then a good song came on. I cranked up the speed (turtle speed for any of my cousins) and ran another lap, rewinded/rewound the song two more times and made it to my goal of 3 miles.

I hadn't burned off 500 calories according to my treadmill, so I kept running till 3.25 so I could feel good about conquering that goal.

Shower, change the laundry, and late to gymnastics by 1 minute!

Last game of all-stars for Washington

We played Hurricane.

The regular coach was out of town, so there were two subs for coaches: an assistant Ace Whole coach and the coach of the LAST PLACE team.

Yeah, I guess I can't be trusted to win games. . . . . . . no one asked me to do it.

Kinzie batted 8, who knows why. She played right field. I don't know why the coach put her there, but I know why I would have put her there had I been coaching.

The fastest pitcher on the team was pitching, so if anyone hit the ball, it would more than likely go to right field, and Kinzie is one of the two best outfielders on the team.

She hit the ball all 3 times up to bat. One of them got caught by the center fielder. One of them was a hard shot down 3rd base line and got a double and stretched it to 3rd base on a bad throw. The coach told her to stop at 2nd, but she kept going when he wasn't paying attention to the bad throw.

Someone hit a high fly ball to right field, and Kinzie ran up on it before she looked it over. She ended up doing a hard back stretch to reach the ball as it was now landing behind her. She caught that ball, and it was an awesome catch.

Our team ended up winning in the 4th inning by the ten run mercy rule.

We rewarded Kinzie with Costa Vida. : )

Pre A-Days 5k run.

(. . . . Activity Days)
"Pre A-Day 5k run" cause I am always in a hurry when I gotta be somewhere in the morning.

I ran on the treadmill and made it to 500 cals burned in 43:40. That's a personal best by over a minute. I did end up running 3.25 miles without stopping, walking, dying, puking, or swearing. Haha. yay for that.

Too bad I don't have A-Days every day.

I have spent a LOT of time the last 2 years trying to prevent Washington Softball from looking like FOOLS.

Tonight, I know that all that time was

W A S T E D !   W A S T E D !  W A S T E D !

I teach my team how to play aggressive ball like any 12 year old should play. Like every player at the all star tournament. And our coaches are not even having them steal the bases, cause they might get thrown out. Not even trying. Pathetic !

The coach, who I used to respect, threw our team under the big fat LOSER BUS ! ! !

The worst player on the team, can't hit 1 practice pitch out of 45, (I was there. I saw it.) came to 3 practices out of 16, is only an 11 yr old player, not only got to play the WHOLE GAME, but also got to pitch the first two innings !!!!!!!! !!!!! !!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

She walked the first 5 batters. I don't mean that she almost struck them out ! she didn't even pitch them 1 strike. She literally ROLLED THE BALL across the plate for each batter at least once. Two pitches to each girl had the catcher literally jumping as high as she could to catch the pitch.

She has no wind up. She doesn't know how to wind up. The catcher throws the ball back to her, and she can't even catch the throw backs.

She only made the team because her dad was a coach. All those men coaches were buddy buddy with each other.

We have two good pitchers, and both were eligible to pitch the whole game.

I have no idea why this coach refuses to try to win OR even do well !

This is All stars after all. This is NOT the time to let everyone try to figure out how to pitch.

I would tell my players that wanted to pitch during the regular season that if they walked 4, then I would give someone else a turn. I had a lot of girls that wanted to pitch and had only 4 innings per game. So, I had to make it fair for the ones who actually practiced at home.

What this coach, Russ, did tonight was so unfair to the whole team. Some of them have put in a lot of time at practice the past two weeks. Some of us have cancelled plans to go out of town to make sure we could have our girl at practice. (So the team would not suffer by our daughter doing poorly.)

Kinzie, for instance, missed 1 practice out of 16 ish. she is one of the better players, she is 13 not 11. Her only time to play 12 yr old all stars and SHE GOT BENCHED FOR HALF THE GAME.

All the 11 yr olds got to play the whole game. All of them have a "daddy coach". All of them missed at least 8 practices. All of them are really poor players.

The first inning ended with bases nearly loaded and 5-2.

The second inning, Russ put that same girl in to pitch AGAIN !

She walked in 8 runs before the coach took her out and put in his own daughter who is one of our only good pitchers. She has not had a turn to pitch yet . . . . . ? I don't know why, either.

She pitches super fast, but a few inches off every time, so she walked several.

The short stop could not catch a ball, so when the girls would steal bases, they would get another base for the missed throw. Kinz was always backing her up, but the ball would tip off the short stop's glove and spin past Kinzie. It made Kinzie feel like the error was her own fault.

After 2. Score was 14-2.

Our 3 best hitters struck out for no reason. Kinz was one of them.

Then Kinz got taken out of the game.

Several of the girls on the other team were leaving the bases early which means an automatic out. It took like 5 times of me telling the ump before he did anything about it. Then when he did, HE made the call instead of the base ump AND he missed the play at home plate because he was making the call. The girl at home was out, but got to score cause the ump was doing the other guy's job.

I told the guy in charge and he didn't seem interested in doing anything about it right then. Ugh.

They finally got called out for leaving early a second time, and they were 12 runs ahead of us by then. Dumb runners.

They didn't even score on us the last time up to bat.

I was so mad at Russ by the end of the game. I will never respect him as a coach again. I used to think I would pick him for the job. Never again. He's a stupid coach when it comes to game time.

Why waste all our time and money in gas getting to practices and to games if we are not trying to do our BEST????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hubby said to me on the way home that he might make me coach next year ! ! ! ! ! ! !
(This coach is a good friend of Hubby's as well as mine.)

Ha haha hahahahahahahaha hahahaha !

But seriously, WE LOOKED LIKE FREAKING FOOLS!

Update: Now that it's morning, I can tell you that I couldn't sleep, because I was so mad and disturbed about the game.

When I did fall asleep, I had nightmares about it.

The Ace whole coach will be in charge on Friday's game. I don't even know who will help him.
But, it won't end well. I already feel it.

No reason. . .

. . . ran 3.25 no stopping, walking, puking, dying.

Worked on arms and legs yesterday, so no reason to NOT to run another 5K.
Burned 500 cals. in 46 minutes.

I must document it, so that I will remember why I need mental therapy later.

First all-star game

Kinzie's team got C R E A M E D !

25-0

Kinzie is one of the best hitters and he batted her 8th. so, she only got up to bat once.

She doesn't miss fly balls in the outfield, so she played center field the first two innings.

But, there were critical plays at !st base that were missed because she wasn't there.

She played 1st base 3rd and 4th innings which allowed our catcher to try to pick off some of the runners. (Kinzie will catch her throws and the other girl who plays 1st base won't.)

Most of our girls struck out. There was no reason for it, they just did.

Our 2nd pitcher walked nearly their whole team. It was embarrassing. She has no form for pitching, and it's frustrating to watch her struggle to get the balls all the way to home plate.

Our first two innings of the game were played on the wrong field ! The girls were pitching from the Juniors( 13 yr olds) pitch plate which is 3 feet further than the 12 yr old pitch plate. When they realized their mistake, they moved our game to another field.

My green team's short stop caught a fly ball while she was playing left field today. Then she hucked it to 2nd base to get a double play ! Most of the good plays were by the girls that played for me. ! ! !

Kinz doesn't play until Wed. again. Hunter plays tomorrow  (Tuesday) against the other 10 yr old washington team.

FFFFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUURRRRRRR ! ! ! !

So, I had to go and prove myself wrong.

I got on the treadmill hoping to run a mile without stopping,

and . . . . . .

I ran FOUR miles without stopping, walking, drinking, dying OR passing out !

A NEW PR without waiting 10 months.

I couldv'e gone further, but my brain was already so confused with this new accomplishment that I thought it best to stop and let my brain recover.

Tuesday was the longest I have run: 48 ish minutes in a row.

Today was 55 minutes in a row. I never thought I'd see the day ! ! ! ! !

AND I burned 100 carbs in one hour. First time for that as well.

It's a Yearly Thing !

to set a PR, that is.

I was in a hurry this morning, so in order to get a treadmill workout in before I had to go to activity days, I needed to run most of it.

So I did.

Not only did I run a 5 K (on a stinking treadmill), but also

I ran 3..52 miles without stopping, walking, drinking, or DYING.

The first 250 yards were killers. My legs were so tired that I knew running wasn't gonna happen this morning. Then, they loosened up and I kept going ! : )

PS. If you recall, a year ago I said I was going to invent a treadmill that has a wrap around screen so I could run on a beach or in the mountains.

Well, someone beat me to it, dang it ! I might have to get that new Nordic Track. It's not a wrap around, but sorta close to my idea. And it has an incline of 40 instead of just 10. That could come in handy for a tight fanny ! ; )
