As you already know...

...I have been enjoying my (early) birthday gift for a month.

At 4 weeks she weighed 7-7.
and 21 inches long.
(she grew 1.5 inches in 2 weeks)

At 1 month, she went camping again.

So far, it's been a "Happy".
.
.
Now all I need is some
homemade
chocolate oreo ice cream
and
whatever kind of cake
with
chocolate frosting
made
with the recipe on the
Herscheys cocoa box.
.
.
(and some gas drops for Kamarie.)

You'll think twice before you leave your Christmas shopping in the car anymore.

As we were all sitting there
discussing who was going home to get the spare keys,
Grandpa Kay walked over to my Suburban
and stuck his truck key in the door
and UNLOCKED my car!!
.
.
ps if you read that article or watch the video, my car is 2007.
.
.
pss: I actually saw this video when it was broadcast 2 years ago.

Next clue

We drove our car home,
because Grandpa Kay used to be a mechanic for GM.
.
What is it G-pa Kay did to our car?

How'd you do that?!!!!! another one

Our family drove to the ranch.
When we got there, everyone climbed out of the car.
I was the last one to get out, because I had to get the baby.
As the car door shut behind me, the car "clicked."
.
.
Meaning that the car locked itself.
(Someone had leaned on the "lock" button as he got out of the car.
Then when the doors all got shut, the car locked itself.)
.
.
Why, yes, of course the keys were still in the ignition.
.
Luckily, I had gotten the diaper bag out, so I had diapers, and a bottle of water, and gas drops.
.
Our options, as we could tell, were these:
1. Kristin could drive me home in her car to get the spare keys. (I couldn't take the baby, as her car seat was still in the car.)
2. Hubby could borrow g-mas car to go home to get keys. (But we were at the ranch to do work projects and that would put a big hole in our efforts to get stuff done.)
3. I could feed the baby, leave her with g-ma, and drive home in either Ann's car or Kristin's car to get the extra keys. (90 min round trip)
4. We could call home and have Christopher get our keys and meet us at the edge of town.
.
5. or whatever else.
.
we didn't use any of these options, but you get to guess as to how we got our car unlocked or how we got home.
.
I'll give you a hint in a few days.
.
.
.
First hint: no hide-a-key.

Kamarie Moments

One of her smallest days.

I don't know what she got down to, but at her 1 week

check-up, she weighed 6-3

Her first shower.

1 1/2 weeks old.

Her cord already fell off.

She loves to shower!
Yay!

I finally have a baby small enough to fit in this dress

that Sheri made.

She likes her hands by her face, and she struggled so hard

to get them there that she pulled her arm out of her nightgown.

2 week check-up,

she weighed 6-7.

Just barely enough to not alarm the dr.

I am

having

the

time

of

my

life.

My baby is 3 weeks old and she is still a tiny newborn!

3.
.
.
Your prize is sensational!
.
.
.
.
It will be the knowledge that you are as cute and clever
as this 4 year old girl!!!

I used to drive the school bus

and if there was a question
as to where the kindergarteners lived,
I hoped they knew their phone numbers.
They
never
did.
.
.
I was surprised to find that my 4 yr-old
had kept calling her dad on his cell phone 12 times a day.
She had memorized it.
Cool.
.
.
Better than cool when you hear her story that happened today.
.
.
.
Hubby had taken one of our kids to his school for a football game.
I was sitting at an SEP
for one of our elementary kids.
.
Hubby is 7 miles away from our house when he got
a phone call from a stranger (woman) telling
him that she had just found our daughter
riding her bike
in the middle of ______street.
Which happens to be the 35 mph windy road
with blind spots near our house.
.
.
.
.
She was trying to follow me to the elementary.
She told Koby that she was coming with me,
and he was in the bathroom when she left on her bike.
.
.
Hubby told her that our son would be right there to get her.
He phoned home and
Koby was out the door to go get her
before he could finish the story.
.
.
No one in that neighborhood 2.5 blocks away knows Kauri.
.
.
.
The ONLY way
the woman found us
was because Kauri
knew
his
phone number.
.
.
Kauri wasn't scared, but of course,
I freaked out when I found out.
I just barely
started letting Kash cross that street.
Not to mention,
Jaycee Dugaard.
