Stupid makes me CRAZY!!!

I sat through a 2 FREAKING HOUR game of Minor League Softball!!!!!!!!!!

They are supposed to last 1.5 hours tops.

This game got over so late, that my 9 year old daughter didn't even have time to shower in order to be to bed by 10 pm since we got home at 9:45!!!

The pitchers can't catch. The catchers can't catch. So a typical "at bat" goes something like this:

Pitcher pitches the ball. It may or may not be close to the strike zone. The catcher misses the ball and chases it to the backstop. Catcher throws ball to pitcher. Pitcher doesn't catch the ball and chases it back to the short stop. Short stop already picked up the ball, so she throws it to the pitcher. Pitcher doesn't catch the ball and chases it half way to home plate before she catches up to it and picks it up. Then she walks back to the pitcher's plate, and we start the process over.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, no one can get anyone out, or throw enough strikes to strike someone out.

The unlimited inning is the song that never ends.

Tonight, the umpire let the team bat until they were 3 points ahead. There were finally 3 outs made after 20+ minutes. Then, he walked off the field and started going home!

The home team is getting ready for their last at bats and the umpire is not there.

I walked over and told the umpire that BOTH teams have to get their unlimited "at bats", and he surprisedly said, "they DO?"

I lost it.

I muttered out loud, " and they have YOU umpiring softball?'

Stupid makes me crazy!

Some of my friends tried to reason with me that it is his first time doing it and he is just a kid.
No KIDDING!

They are ALL kids that umpire these games.

If it's his first time doing it, then SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE THERE TO MAKE SURE HE KNOWS WHAT RULES HE HIS CALLING!

I DON"T need to be sitting at these stupid games for 2 and a half hours!!!! They are torturous enough as it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least teach the stupid kids that umpire when the game time is up and when it is time to call a freaking game over.
