The walk home on the first day of school was hot!
The second day of school was not going to be as hot for one certain 2nd grader.

I asked him what was so heavy in his backpack.

He told me it was a water bottle to drink on the way home.

I pulled a 2-liter root beer bottle full of water out of his backpack.

Silly kid.
It must have been hotter than I thought.

And he made it even hotter by carrying around a loaded backpack! I hope it was refreshing by the end of the day.
